minute or ': ��The sixtieth part of a degree of angular measurement, often represented by the sign � as in 12� 30�, read 12 degrees, 30 minutes� (Random House).� USGS quadrangle maps are common in both 15 and 7.5 minute sizes.� For example, the 7.5 minute map for Crow Butte, Nebraska covers from 103� 15' to 103� 22' 30" west, and 42� 37' 30" to 42� 45' north.� (See also: arcsecond, degree.)
