genlock:� To synchronize two video signals (usually NTSC) to match the color video frames.� Genlocking is necessary to mix and combine two signals, like a live video image and a graphic overlay.� Some display boards can output an NTSC signal but cannot genlock, or mix, that signal with another video signal.
